The expected star arrived at Juventus
The long-awaited transfer of Emre Zhang to Juventus is a matter of hours after the midfielder arrived in Torino for medical examinations this morning. The German comes as a free agent from Liverpool after his contract expires. If there are no problems with the reviews, Zhang will sign his contract later today and formally become part of the bianconers.
Zhang is expected to bind Juve for the next four seasons.
The 24-year-old footballer missed the last few months because of a back injury that cost him and the place in Germany’s national team for the World Cup. He still appeared in a game in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, and that was his last minutes with the team of Merseyside.
Liverpool attracted Zhang from Bayer (Leverkusen) in 2014. Since then he has recorded 167 matches for the reds and scored 14 goals.
Emre Zhang will be Juve’s third new player. Before that, the club already drew goalkeeper Mattia Perrin of Genoa and returned young striker Andrea Favili.
