Norwich – Manchester United
Times are hard for Manchester United’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. His team is currently 14th in the Premier League standings, being without a win in its last four matches in the competition. United are 15 points behind the leader Liverpool as well, which is certainly not being accepted well by the fans. On Sunday the Red Devils are going to visit Norwich City at the Carrow Road and they really need to win this one. Here are our English Premier League predictions for this clash.
Two wins, four draws and three losses – that’s Manchester United’s record at the moment. Despite of the fact that they had a pretty tough schedule in these first 9 rounds, this can’t be good enough for the club. And if Solskjaer doesn’t find a way to change his team’s fortunes, he might be a goner really soon.
Last week United hosted Liverpool at the Old Trafford and the truth is that they were just five minutes away from beating the current leader. Marcus Rashford opened the score for the Red Devils in the 36th minute, but Adam Lallana equalised for the visitors just five minutes before the end.
In this game Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left Anthony Martial on the bench, but maybe the French striker will start against in Norwich City in order to bring more firepower in the starting eleven.
This season looks pretty tough for Norwich City at the moment, which is a normal thing for a newcomer. Right now the Canaries are 19th in the league with just 7 points won, positioned in the relegation zone. It’s quite curious that three of these seven points were won against the champion Manchester City at the Carrow Road.
Norwich are without a win in their last four games in the league. In their last match they won a point after a 0-0 draw against AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
That’s what we had to say about the game between Norwich City and Manchester United in our English Premier League predictions. We believe that United should step up here, but have in mind that Norwich are one of the two teams which beat Manchester City this season.
