Nice hosts Olympique Marseille
Nice hosts Olympique Marseille in a match from the third round of the French Ligue 1. Let’s examine this clash at the Allianz Riviera in our soccer matches tomorrow.
Nice started the new season in the Ligue 1 in the best way possible – with two wins from the first two games. After beating Amiens SC at home in the first round, Les Aiglons did the same during the visit to Nimes.
The game at Stade des Costieres ended with a 2-1 in Nice’s favour. Until the 16th minute it was already 0-2 in Nice’s favour, thanks to the goals of Wylan Cyprien and Ignatius Ganago. At the end of the first half Renaud Ripart executed a penalty kick for Nimes, but in the second half the visitors managed to keep their advantage, despite of Racine Coly’s red card in the beginning of the second half.
Olympique Marseille on the other hand started the new season pretty awful under the guidance of their new manager Andre Vilas-Boas. Les Phoceens won just one point from their first two games, which is pretty bad. Right now Marseille are 17th in the Ligue 1 with just one point won, so they need to start winning as soon as possible.
After the the home defeat against Reims in the first round, Olympique Marseille made a 0-0 draw during the visit to Nantes in the second round. The visitors could have won the game, but the Argentine striker Dario Benedetto missed a penalty kick in the middle of the first half.
That’s our soccer matches tomorrow prediction for the Ligue 1 game between Nice and Olympique Marseille on Wednesday. Clearly Andre Vilas-Boas didn’t have the best start of his career in France, but it’s not too late for him to change the way his team performs. A win against Nice would be a good start.
