Newcastle United hosts AFC Bournemouth

Newcastle United hosts AFC Bournemouth at the St. James’ Park in a game from the 12th round of the Premier League. That’s our English Premier League predictions for this fixture in the cold Northern England.

Newcastle started the season with some difficulties, but lately Steve Bruce’s team is starting to stabilize. In their last four matches in the league the Magpies have two wins, one draw and just one loss, which helped them climb to 15th place in the standings. Of course, the danger is still here, because Newcastle are just 4 points ahead of the 18th Southampton and the danger zone.

In the previous round of the league the Magpies celebrated a third win for the season. They travelled to the capital to face West Ham United and enjoyed a 3-2 win. Just after 51 minutes Newcastle already had a strong 3-0 lead, thanks to the goals of Ciaran Clark, Federico Fernandez and Jonjo Shelvey. They allowed the hosts to score twice later, but they kept their advantage. This is what the manager Steve Bruce wants to see – his boys winning tough games like this one.

AFC Bournemouth are doing much better so far, currently being 7th in the league standings with 16 points won so far. The Cherries are enjoying a great season and if they keep playing like this, they can even dream of playing in the European competitions again. Right now they are just one point behind the 5th Arsenal.

Bournemouth got beaten just once in their last five games. In the previous round Eddie Howe’s boys achieved a prestigious win over Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium. It was the Norwegian international Joshua King who scored the winner in the last minute of the first half.

This game between Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth is difficult for prediction. Newcastle are showing some signs of improvement, while Bournemouth are rarely losing lately. That’s our English Premier League predictions. Be careful with this one.
