Manchester City welcomes Manchester United

When the two Manchester giants face each other on the pitch this is a guarantee for another football spectacle. On Saturday Manchester City welcomes Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium. That’s our English Premier League predictions for this amazing derby.

Few days ago Man City’s manager Josep Guardiola admitted that “it would be crazy to think about winning the title”. Right now the champions are 11 points behind the leader Liverpool and the Reds are rarely making any mistakes. Clearly this season the Cityzens will have to change their priorities because defending the Premier League title looks really difficult at the moment.

During the week Man City showed a glimpse of their brilliance, beating Burnley with 4-1 at the Turf Moor. In Kun Aguero’s absence, Gabriel Jesus proved his worth and scored a brace. Rodri and Riyad Mahrez also scored for the visitors.

Most likely Jesus will start against Manchester United as well because Sergio Aguero remains injured. Aymeric Laporte is also still missing for the champions.

Manchester United look sharp lately. During the week the Red Devils managed to climb up to 6th place in the league, thanks to a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Old Trafford. Facing their former manager Jose Mourinho, United won the three points with a brace from Marcus Rashford. Manchester United are unbeaten in their last four matches in the league, winning two of them.

The win against Spurs was a good way for the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to answer all of the rumours regarding his future. In the press you can often read that the Norwegian tactician is close to get the sack, but for one reason or another he’s still here, doing his job.
