Liverpool faces Arsenal

It’s time for another big derby in the English Premier League, because Liverpool faces Arsenal at the Anfield in a game from the third round of the competition. After winning the Champions League last season, now Liverpool have another big goal in front of them – to win the Premier League for a first time since 1990. Last season the Reds were really close to doing that, but they were beaten by Manchester City in the last few rounds of the competition. Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp also confirmed that winning the Premier League is going to be a priority for the Reds this season.

And we can say that Liverpool started the campaign just as they hoped to – with two wins in the first two games. After a convincing display against Norwich City in the first round, the European champions achieved their first away win for the season as well. The Reds visited Southampton and clinched the win with goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Arsenal also started the new campaign perfectly, winning both of their opening games. Unai Emery’s boys beat Newcastle United at the St. James’ Park in the first round, while last week the Gunners enjoyed tough, but important 2-1 win over Burnley at home. The deadly duo Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for the hosts at the Emirates.

In our English Premier League predictions we can conclude that Liverpool and Arsenal shall offer us another classic on Saturday. These two teams are currently leading the standings in the league, having perfect record of 6 points each. But now one of them could make a step forward and occupy the top.
