Leganes and Celta Vigo

Leganes and Celta Vigo face each other at the Estadio de Butarque in a match from the 16th week of La Liga. That’s our La Liga predictions for this fixture on Saturday.

Leganes are at the bottom of the standings, being 20th in La Liga with just 6 points won so far. Being 8 points behind the 17th Mallorca and the safe zone, it looks like for Leganes it’s going to be very difficult to keep their place in the Spanish elite. In their last five games Leganes won just one point – certainly not good enough in order to survive.

Last week Leganes visited Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan and lost with 0-1. Diego Carlos scored the only goal in the game. Leganes’ manager Javier Aguirre tried to change something, but even the inclusion Kevin Rodrigues, Eraso and Guido Carrillo didn’t help his team.

Celta Vigo are also in the relegation zone of La Liga, being 18th with 13 points. What’s positive about Celta is that they won four points from their last two games, which is a step in the right direction for them.

In the previous round Celta hosted Real Valladolid, but won just a point after a 0-0 draw. It was a good opportunity for Celta to enjoy a win, but Valladolid defended well and didn’t allow a goal in their net.

Against Leganes Celta will be without bunch of injured players. Ivan Villar, Junca, Claudio Beauvue and Ruben Blanco are missing this one because of injuries.

As for Leganes the hosts can’t use Marc Navarro and Alexander Szymanowski, who are not avaliable because of their injuries.

In our La Liga predictions we expect a pretty good game between Leganes and Celta Vigo on Saturday – two teams which are fighting to escape the relegation zone at the moment. This kind of games are always fun to watch.
