Latvia welcomes Slovenia
Latvia welcomes Slovenia in a clash from Group G of the European qualifiers. Let’s see what’s going on with these two teams in our predictions football 1×2.
At this moment Latvia are at the bottom of the group standings, being 6th with no points won so far. The team’s record until now is pretty depressing – three games played, three losses conceded.
Latvia began their campaign with a 1-3 loss against North Macedonia, which was followed by a 0-2 defeat against Poland and 0-3 loss against Israel in the last game.
Just few days ago Latvia hosted Israel in Riga, hoping to secure first points since the beginning of the qualifying campaign. Well, it didn’t happen, because Slavisa Stojanovic’ team was totally outperformed by the visitors. Eran Zahavi was the big hero for Israel in the game, scoring a hattrick.
In the same time Slovenia are 5th in the group with 2 points won so far and a record of two draws and one loss. After two consecutive draws in the first two matches against Israel and North Macedonia, few days ago Slovenia suffered a first defeat in the group against Austria.
The game between Austria and Slovenia was moving closer to a draw, but in the 74th minute the Austrian team managed to score a winner. Guido Burgstaller managed to beat Jan Oblak, scoring for the home side.
What’s curious about the match between Latvia and Slovenia is that Latvia’s head coach Slavisa Stojanovic is actually a Slovenian. So he’s facing his home country. But despite of this, you can be sure that Stojanovic is going to be a professional here, trying to secure the win for his current team. That’s what he’s being paid for.
These are our predictions football 1×2 for the European qualification between Latvia and Slovenia from Group G. We wish you good luck!
