Everton hosts Tottenham

Two struggling teams are facing each other at the Goodison Park on Sunday when Everton hosts Tottenham Hotspur in a match from the 11th round of the English Premier League. Being under serious pressure at the moment, the two managers Marco Silva and Mauricio Pochettino must find a way to improve their teams’ performances.

How is Marco Silva not sacked yet? That’s what a lot of fans and pundits are asking themselves when they see Everton’s position in the standing. At this moment the Toffees are more close to the relegation zone than to the top, being 16th in the table with just 10 points won. In 10 games played since the beginning of the season, Everton have won just three of them.

The truth is that this is Marco Silva’s second season at the club and he didn’t impress in the first one, too. For many people is strange why Everton’s board is still supporting him, despite of the lack of results. Maybe another loss on Sunday will change their minds? We will see.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino is also being heavily criticized for what’s happening so far. Right now Spurs are out of the Premier League’s Top 10, being 11th in the standings with 12 points – not even close to what they aim for. Just like Everton, Spurs have won only 3 of their 10 matches played so far, which is certainly not good enough for a team which played the Champions League final last season.

In the previous round of the league Harry Kane opened the score for Spurs after just one minute against Liverpool, but the Londoners were unable to hold on and lost the visit to the Anfield with 1-2.

In our English Premier League predictions it’s very difficult to give you a fair prediction for this match. Both teams are having serious problems at the moment and both teams need the three points. One thing is for sure – there will be a fight.
